The movie takes place in Los Angeles, California, where Dwight is a member of a popular gospel group called The Boyz. Despite the success of the group, Dwight finds himself struggling with personal issues and questioning his faith. As he begins to spiral out of control, he is confronted by an unlikely mentor, Bishop Taylor (played by comedian and actor Tommy Ford), who encourages Dwight to turn his life around and get back on track.

Meanwhile, Dwight's childhood friend and former love interest, Geshan (played by Ariana Pierce), has returned to town after a long absence. Geshan is now a successful record executive who is determined to sign The Boyz to her label. However, her relationship with Dwight becomes complicated when she discovers the extent of his personal struggles.

At the same time, Dwight finds inspiration in the words and example of King David, whose story he reads in the Bible. He begins to see his own struggles reflected in David's story, and begins to find the strength to overcome his own obstacles.
