Russell is a hardworking man who has spent the better part of his adult life working as a fisherman on some of the most dangerous waters known to man. Raising his family where he works in Nova Scotia, Canada, Russell had always made it a point to give his children a better life than the one he was forced to tend to every day. He invested every available dollar towards his children's college fund, so that they may achieve more glamorous lives. However, when his son, 18-year-old James, decides that he does not want to attend college and instead wants to follow in his father's footsteps, this yields nothing short of fear and heartbreak for the family.
