Carnival of Souls is a 1998 horror film by renowned director Wes Craven. There is no relation to the 1962 black and white classic supernatural thriller. This movie is about a carnival populated by a psychopathic killer clown. Alex Grant is a young woman who watches her mother get killed by the clowns and flees. She continues to have nightmares about the incident, which plague her throughout adulthood. It turns out that the clown who killed her mother was actually apprehended, tried, convicted and sentenced. However when the clown is released from prison, he comes after Alex anyway.
