This 90s French comedy was directed by Jean-Marie Poiré and stars veteran actor Gerard Depardieu and Christian Clavier. The plot revolves around a Depardieu who plays a underhanded nightclub owner operating out of Paris who was also once a respected detective. One day he discovers that one of his friends has been kidnapped by some of Chinese mafia. With this knowledge the detective flies quickly to Hong Kong to rescue the lad.

He finds the boy and takes him to the only safe place he knows, the abode of a young and steadfast priest. But frictions run high between the two as both the priest and the detective as followed by their good and evil angels who begin interfering in the tangled skein of their lives.
