A professional merchant sailor has spent his life at sea. His rootless existence sailing from port to port means he has made few friends, and he has strained his family relations. He ignored his own daughter and left her for others to raise. Now he is ready to return to his home in Argentina to see if he can reclaim a more normal life and win back a bond with his estranged daughter.
