Watch Mesrine: Killer Instinct

This film, the first of the two part, Mesrine French crime thriller series, was based primarily off of the autobiographical book L'instinct de mort, by the real life French career criminal Jaques Mesrine. The film was directed by Jean-François Richet and stars Vincent Cassel as Jasques Mesrine. The film chronicles Mesrine’s life between the 50s and 70s, starting with his time as a soldier with the French forces during the Algerian conflict. After this traumatic and chaotic time Mesrine moves back to his home in , quarrels with his family, moves out and reunites with a old friend who has fallen in with mobsters.
