Anne Goupel is a hopeful writer who is currently studying the craft. She lives in Paris and her brother asks her to attend a party with him. She accepts and when they arrive, they come into with Phillip Kaufman and Gerard Lenz. The pair are there with a woman named Terry, but she conveys a mystic that Anne cannot quite figure out. The three are discussing a death that recently occurred. Their friend Juan died and Phillip tells Anne that he believes Gerard is the next one who will fall victim to the evil forces that overtook Juan. Anne goes on a mission to find out exactly what happened to Juan in order to prevent the same thing from happening to anyone else.
