Pure as a Lily is a 1974 Italian comedy-romance directed by Franco Rossi and starring Vitorrio Gassman. The film tells the story of a an impoverished romance in which a a man (Gassman) has fallen from grace, losing his position of high esteem in the community. His love interest, Mary, is a poor woman working in a factory in the slums, and both seek to escape to a new world.
