Thierry is a young man who is driven by a ion to tame lions. He decides to drop out of school in order to work at the zoo learning the craft. He meets a young woman, Roselyne and the pair fall in love. They eventually quit the zoo and begin a journey, travelling to . There they find different jobs working in the circus, but they soon find a man who is willing to tutor them in the art of taming the wild beasts. They become more and more successful, but that success may cause their relationship to suffer and end.
