Literary icon Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Doctor Watson, are on the trail of a stolen necklace which was formerly worn by Cleopatra. Holmes' greatest nemesis, Professor Moriarty, has taken the artifact, but Holmes is having difficulty with the local police who buy into Moriarty's deceptions. While an average detective mystery, Christopher Lee turns in an accurate, and near picture perfect performance as Holmes. A healthy dose of humor keeping with the literary sources make this film stand out, beyond its international production crew.
