Watch Speed

Speed is a documentary short that was released in 1984. The film looks at various ways that human have used technology to go faster with particular attention to the use of those inventions in sports. This includes man-powered devices such as bicycles and skateboards. It then looks at the invention of racing cars, and jet-powered cars that were used to go faster than the speed of sound. It then looks at airplanes that are powered by rockets. The film explores the kind of people who developed these technologies, and those who currently use them for the simple joy of going fast.
