Shaham explores the difficulties, challenges and struggles a mother goes through trying to raise her son and daughter alone after her husband dies. Earning a living isn't easy, and when the son fails his school exams while trying to help mom run his dad's tea shop, his mother sends him to a military recruitment camp. Employment there appears to be the family's only option for survival. The money involved in getting the job is quite a sum, but after paying the cost required, the price the family pays for the decision turns out to be higher than they expected.
