Watch The Proposition

After the death of her husband, Catherine Morgan, a 19th century Welsh widow, will do anything she can to keep his estate and prevent herself and her two daughters from becoming poor. To avoid having to marry a local sheriff she intensely dislikes for money, she comes up with a plan to sell the estate’s cattle. The only problem is moving to herd of cattle to Gloucester. When she faces opposition from the British Army, she goes to the sheriff’s alcoholic half-brother Rhys, a drover, for help. He agrees to help for the price of a night of ion with Catherine.
