Conman Fargo Gondorff released from prison, picks up right where he left off, getting his gang of grifters together. Seeking revenge the murder of boxer Kid Colors, he plans the biggest con of his life. Lonnegan, a wealthy banker and gangster and Macalinski, a racketeer are the marks. Fargo knows they killed his friend. Jake Hooker, a young grifter, plays the part of a crooked boxer, willing to throw a fight.

Convincing Macalinski and Lonnegan to part with their money will be more dangerous than the con men bargained for. Everything must go smoothly; their lives depend on it.
