Uppena is a 2021 Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers. The movie stars Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Krithi Shetty, and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The movie is set in a small village near the sea coast, where Aasi (Panja Vaisshnav Tej) is born and raised. Panja Vaisshnav Tej, in his debut role, delivers a brilliant performance as Aasi. He portrays the character with intense emotions, and his chemistry with Krithi Shetty is perfect. Krithi Shetty is in her second film and shows a lot of promise as an actor. She plays the role of Bebamma with conviction and brings out the vulnerability of the character. Vijay Sethupathi, as always, is excellent as Ranganna, the villain of the story.

The movie's cinematography by Shamdat Sainudeen is impressive, capturing the scenic beauty of the village and the sea. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is haunting, and the songs add depth to the emotions of the characters.
