Veneno Para Las Hadas is a Mexican horror film that takes you inside the world of orphan Veronica. Witchcraft is afoot in this chilling tale that is translated as "Poison for the Fairies." The old woman that Veronica lives with is revealed to be her grandmother. She also lives with a nanny. The scenery in the movie is spooky from beginning to finish as you are carried along through this tale that focuses closely on the brokenness of Veronica's tiny world. A child's imagination can run away with her, and it certainly does, as Veronica quickly makes the stories of witchcraft a part of her world.
